The American Freedom Concert was founded by Nashville recording artist, Ricky Lee. Ricky has been performing professionally since the age of sixteen. He has shared the stage with some of the best known names in the music business. He has always been patriotic by heart. In the past few years he has performed at numerous Military bases and hospitals across the country. This concert was created to celebrate our freedom and those whom defend it. Partnering with the Pennsylvania VFW Headquarters, the first American Freedom Concert was held on September 1, 2007 in Hollidaysburg, PA. With more than 1,500 in attendance and through other contributions, this concert raised a total of $10,000 for the VFW Military Assistance Program, a program which provides assistance to our active soldiers and veterans. With the huge success of the first AFC, the 2nd annual concert will be held August 30, 2008. Ricky Lee Entertainment has now decided to take on this message across the country. We are proud to announce the “American Freedom Tour” including a show July 5, 2008 at Seven Point Resort in Hesston, Pa, as well as July 19, 2008 at Lake Rowena in Ebensburg, Pa.
Each concert begins with a short celebration ceremony followed by the folding of the American Flag. We encourage local veterans and active soldiers to participate in the opening ceremonies. As part of the show, audience members receive hand held American Flags. A special two minute patriotic sound track and video presentation on large screens on each side of the stage will be synchronized to a patriotic laser light show to begin the American Freedom Concert. Ricky Lee’s band, the Mustangs, will open with the first few notes of the National Anthem. Both The American Freedom Concert and Ricky Lee will be introduced followed by an array of confetti.
The majority of the music performed will be an assortment of musical numbers from Ricky Lee’s original songs to upbeat ballots of both standard and contemporary country songs. Throughout the concert will be a number of patriotic songs for the audience to join along and wave their American Flags. Along with a lot of audience participation throughout the show, the concert will end with a grand finale performance including confetti, special effects, and a patriotic firework display viewed on the large screens. A real firework display could be supplementary depending on the accessibility and budget. This tour makes for a wonderful headlining concert performance or a great addition to any planned event.
God Bless,
Ricky Lee Entertainment
